Maui Vow Renewal Videos

Many of our couples like to have a video shot of their Maui vow renewal. Most couples who have a professionally edited Maui vow renewal video really enjoy how awesome they are for remembering the moment when they recommitted themselves to each other.

Unfortunately, some couples do pass on having a video because they think a video will be too pricey. But we also have what we call our "mini video" in which we mix both video clips and the stills that we take over the course of the evening into a six minute video edited to a romantic song.

You don't want to miss have either a full length Maui video or one of our mini videos at your renewal. They are great for screening back home if you are going to be having an anniversary party with your friends.

Maui Weddings & Vow Renewals

Today I'll be doing a Maui Wedding. As a company we do both weddings and vow renewals and we think that's good for our couples. That means you can get married and then come back in 5 or 10 years and have us perform your vow renewal.

That may sound funny, but we've done that many times. It's always fun to perform a vow renewal for a couple who we married ten years ago, especially because they usually bring along their kids (who didn't exist the first time around).

I must admit that is one of my great joys to see a couple and their kids after several years together. It kind of makes you feel that you did something right (even if all I did was tie the knot), it still make me feel like I had a hand in their success.

So if you're either planning on getting married or married again, please give us a ring. You can call Susan at 800-791-2299. Or you can go to our Vow Renewal Website. Or you can take a look at our regular Maui wedding website.

Black Friday In Maui

It seems to me that everyone gets so excited about Black Friday each year after Thanksgiving for all of the good bargains that are offered up. I know that I should be excited too. Why is it then that I just can't even get motivated to get out of my chair and leave home to go get in on any of the deals?

It seems to me that things are not nearly as important as people. And it would sure be great if we could all focus in more on the people in our lives instead of the possessions that we owe.

That's one of the big reasons we encourage couples to take the time and have a vow renewal to celebrate their relationship or their anniversary. Do it often. And if you happen to be coming to Hawaii any time soon look us up at Maui Vow Renewals. If you want to look at our Vow Renewal Packages Click Here.

Thanksgiving for Your Family & Your Bride

We should all be thankful for what we have. And we're definitely reminded of that each year on Thanksgiving Day. But this year, as we celebrate, it's also good to give thanks for our spouse. And that's what a vow renewal is all about.

No matter where you're at this year, it's definitely a great idea to add to your thanks and thanksgiving to your spouse who was willing to "take that chance" and tie the knot with us.

If you're coming to Hawaii any time soon, you might want to make think about making that re-commitment even more meaningful and special with a Maui Vow Renewal Ceremony on the beach here in beautiful Maui, Hawaii. We have lots of different ceremonies to choose from, including the Spiritual Ceremony and also our Christian Vow Renewal Ceremony.

Maui Vow Renewal Photography

We know that it is very important for most of our couples that they  have good Maui vow renewal photography. You want to remember your renewal ceremony in the years to come and what better way to do that then to have Maui photography taken that is first class?

We have been shooting weddings on Maui for over 14 years now. And we've shot in excess of 2,000 weddings and vow renewals. So we have a lot of experience and a lot of tricks.

Often couples will decide to forego photography and have a friend shoot it for them. I can't tell you how many times I've shuddered watching those friends try to take their pictures. Most have cameras that don't have flashes strong enough to counteract the sun in the background. If their camera can force the flash to fire, the sensors will see all of that light on the horizon and you'll end up with no light in your faces. I've even seen so-called "professional" photographers show up with these small in-camera flashes. You simply can't shoot the sunset with an in-camera flash.

Friends also don't know how to pose a couple or how to keep other people from creeping into the background behind you. And I can't tell you how many times I've heard those friends say, "Oh no, I'm sorry, my memory card is full." Or, "my battery is depleted." So sad, but it happens all the time. Because the couple tries to save a little money they can end up with no photos at all.

If you want photography that looks good, and which really shows off the sunset behind you, let us do it. You will be pleasantly surprised by the results we get.

Sparkling Apple Cider for Your Maui Vow Renewal

One of the things we like to recommend to our renewal couples is that they get one of our Maui Vow Renewal Packages that has an apple cider toast and small table presentation. One of the big reasons we suggest this is that it will dramatically enhance your pictures.

We take shots of the two of you toasting each other. We use the glasses to help decorate a "Just Re-Maui'd" heart which we write in the sand. We also put the glasses in the foreground and couple in the background in some of our photos. In short, they are an inexpensive addition to your renewal and an enhancement to your Maui vow renewal photography.

As you can see from the photo, we have a small round table and tablecloth and bucket to present your sparkling apple cider. And we'll have you stand behind the table for several pictures.

To get a better idea which of our packages have a sparkling apple cider toast, take a look at our Package Comparisons page.

Renting A Limo for Your Maui Vow Renewal

Renting a limo for your Maui vow renewal is a great touch. Nothing makes you feel more pampered than to arrive in style in the expansive interior of your own air conditioned limousine.

There are some advantages that come with renting a limo. For one thing, you don't have to worry about getting lost. The driver will take care of getting you to your Maui vow renewal on time. And if they take you out to a restaurant afterward, you don't have to restrict your alcoholic intake, because you're driver will see to it that you get back to your hotel or condo safely.

We have a number of limo companies that we work with, and we suggest that you go through us, because we will be in contact with them by cellphone to make certain everything works like clockwork on the day of your vow renewal.

To get an idea of prices for limos, you can look at our Ala Carte page, or just call Susan at 800-791-2299.

Maui Vow Renewal Butterfly Release

One of the fun things that many of our couples like to do at their Maui Vow Renewal is to have a butterfly release. Although they are available seasonally, we can often order these for our couples and they find them quite enjoyable experience.

When we release the butterflies, they usually don't fly away very fast. In fact it is quite common for them to alight on the bride's bouquet, in her hair or on her lei. Our couples will often take the butterflies out of the box one at a time on their fingertips. It really is pretty amazing to be able to touch these delicate creatures like this.

So you might want to consider having a butterfly release at your Maui Vow Renewal. Be sure and talk to Susan about them (or about dove releases) when you call at 808-791-2299.

Should Your Vow Renewal Have A Cake?

I've performed a lot of Maui vow renewals where the couple decided they wanted to pull out a few of the stops and have a lot of trimmings. Sometimes this is because they didn't have much at their first wedding and sometimes it is because they just want to make their Maui renewal day all that more special.

Certainly if you are celebrating a major anniversary like your 25th or another big day in the history your relationship together, having your own wedding cake and sparkling apple presentation on the beach is a fine addition.

You'll find that we use your wedding cake and your glasses for a lot of our photography. It's always fun for the couple to feed each other cake and have the sparkling apple cider toast. We will also use your glasses in a heart we draw in the sand. We write "Just Re-Mauied" in the sand and have the two of you behind it for some photos.

If you have questions about cakes and what flavors are available, make sure that you ask about that when you contact Susan at 800-791-2299.

You might want to check out our More Services page to see some of the other things we offer like dove and butterfly releases.

The Right Maui Vow Renewal Ceremony

If you are thinking of having a Maui vow renewal, you'll want to decide which is the best vow renewal ceremony to commemorate your special day. I've written several different vow renewal ceremonies for a wide range of different couples.

My Spiritual Ceremony is for those who want a religious ceremony that includes a quote from 1 Corinthians 13 (the famous love chapter). The Christian Ceremony includes that but also other passages from the Bible on marriage.

For those who want a romantic non religious ceremony, I have put together my Contemporary Ceremony. And finally, for those who have kids, I have what I call the Legacy Ceremony which encourages the couple to remember that their relationship is the foundation of their legacy which they are creating for their children.

You can take a look at each of these ceremonies right on the web by following the links as they are indicated. Choose the one that's right for the two of you.

Why Are Flowers Important to A Woman?

Guys, have you ever wondered why flowers are so well received by a woman? I sure have. It always seemed to me, from my masculine point of view, that they were simply a waste of money. They are so expensive and only look and smell good for a few days, at best. And then they turn ugly and are gone.

Why not buy something for your wife that's more practical? Like a potted plant that will go on and on. Or silk flowers that will not wilt and fade?

Then I discovered that the female brain works differently than the male brain and I began to understand why these more "practical gifts" are just not seen as being quite so romantic as flowers are to a woman.

You see, a potted plant, while still a nice gift, represents work for a woman. She has to water and take care of it. And silk flowers don't smell well, and eventually they become dust catchers.

I found out that real flowers for most women are seen as romantic gestures precisely because they are such a frivolous and expensive gift. When a man spends money on something that will not last, simply because he knows that his wife will love it -- this speaks volumes to her. It shows her that he is romantic and that he really loves her.

That's why having real flowers for your Maui vow renewal are so important. I've performed many weddings and vow renewals where the couple "saved money" a brought their own silk bouquet or silk leis. Let me tell you, those fake bouquets and leis are just not the same. The brides treat them completely different and they contain less emotional meaning. So if you are planning a Maui vow renewal, check out our Flowers page.

A Surprise Maui Vow Renewal

If you are coming to Maui for a vacation, what better way to make your time in paradise meaningful than to plan a surprise Maui Vow Renewal for your spouse!

Over the years we have performed many surprise vow renewals. They work well, and its so much fun (both for us and the couple) to watch the look on your beloved's face when they realize that you have pulled this all together to emphasize your love for her (or him).

Usually what we recommend that a couple will do is to decide to go out for dinner (so that you have a reason to dress up), then go down and walk on the beach before you go to the restaurant. I'm waiting on the beach and I come up and ask: "Are you Bill and Sandy?" not using your real names. When I find out that you aren't the couple I'm supposedly looking for, I offer to shoot some photos of the two of you while I'm waiting for my wedding couple.

After I shoot several photos, I pull out my minister's book and announce, "I think my wedding couple has just arrived." Then I proceed to begin with one of my Maui vow renewal ceremonies.

It usually isn't until this moment that the surprised spouse "gets it." And tears are often what we see as she experiences the joy of renewing your vows on a beautiful Maui beach. If you like this idea, just visit our website and call Susan to book your surprise Maui vow renewal.

Maui Vow Renewal & Dinner on the Beach

This is one of those exciting things that many of our Maui renewal couples have enjoyed. After their vow renewal is over, and the photography leading up to the sunset is shot, they choose to surprise their spouse by having a private dinner overlooking the beach.

Our caterer has an excellent setup for this, complete with a nicely appointed table with exotic tableware and tiki torches to light the scene. In some cases our couples choose to have us book a Maui musician to play in the background during their dinner and add that special ambiance that is a delightful and romantic touch to set off their intimate dinner together.

The menus are varied, but the service is awesome. You won't have to worry about anyone else like you would at a restaurant. It will all be about just the two of you (or more if you decide to bring friends or the kids).

If you would like to consider having your own romantic dinner overlooking one of Maui's beautiful beaches at sunset, you definitely want to check out our web page on some of the Other Maui Vow Renewal Services we offer. For Maui dinner at the beach pricing you can look at. If this interests you, be sure and call Susan at 1-800-791-2299 for more details.

Choosing a Maui Vow Renewal Company

As you would guess, all Maui vow renewal and wedding companies are certainly not equal. Each of them  is unique primarily because the people who own and run it. So unless your only criteria for deciding a company is price, what should you be looking for? Let me give you some suggestions:

1. A company that has some experience. It would seem that a wedding and vow renewal company that has been in existence for a while would be a better choice than one that has not.

2. Do they enjoy what they do? Just as important is that the minister who is going to be performing your ceremony actually enjoys what he does. Does he take an interest in you? Does he ask how long you've been together and how you met? These are all the type of interaction that make your renewal so much more enjoyable.

3. Are they personable on the phone? This might seem to be a little thing, but you can definitely judge what kind of service you'll receive at your Maui beach vow renewal by the way you are treated when you call or email any company.

4. A company that isn't farming out their renewals. There are always companies that farm out what they are doing to other vendors. While that might work perfectly, it is also likely that such companies will have much less invested emotionally if they take your money and then walk away from the responsibility for your actual vow renewal.

5. A company that offers what you're specifically looking for. Of course, you probably have specific things in mind for your Maui vow renewal. Make sure that the company you select offers all of the services that you want. This link will give you an idea of the kind of Maui vow renewal services that we offer.

Why Have A Vow Renewal?

Let's face it. Even the best relationships can sometimes use a shot in the arm. Of course there are many different ways to do that: like a fun date, an evening out without the kids or a special anniversary gift.

In the past I've done many different things to enhance my relationship with my wife. The sky is the limit if you are creative. Probably one of the most fun things that I ever did was to give my wife a series of gifts for each day we had been married. Each day I gave her a different gift or memento leading up to our anniversary to remind her of why I had chosen her and what it was that I wanted to remember at each point along the way.

But in my own experience, I don't think anything says "I love you" more than a vow renewal ceremony. When you plan a ceremony where you get a minister to present to you a brand new service of commitment, it says volumes about how you feel towards each other.

And what better way to do this than when you are on vacation in some beautiful tropical locale. You'll find that most areas you can visit have ministers who are willing and able to meet with the two of you and perform a vow renewal ceremony to help you renew your commitment and refresh your passion towards each other.

And one of the best places to do this is in Hawaii. If you are coming to Maui, I invite you to take a look at our Maui Vow Renewal packages page on our website and consider us for your special day. The beauty of our service is that we offer top notch vow renewal photography, at very reasonable prices, so that you can  commemorate your special day.

Just Re-Maui'd

I performed a nice vow renewal for a couple that have been married for 25 years! That is definitely a great accomplishment. Steve and Lori enjoyed the small secluded beach that I took them to. After a few bathers left, we had it all to ourselves right up through sunset.

Sometimes when I  perform a vow renewal here on Maui the couple orders what we call our Budget Maui Vow Renewal Package. Actually, I call it my "one man band." ;o) This package is great for couples who want a vow renewal plus photography, but they want it to be less expensive.

Because I am both a minister and a photographer, I perform the ceremony with the camera around my neck. It might seem a little strange for the minister to have a camera around his neck, by my couples love it because the images are good and the cost is definitely affordable.

I've performed hundreds vow renewals like this and there has never been an problem with doing it this way. Of course I have to "multi-task". But overall, the results are excellent.

Your Maui Vow Renewal

Tonight we'll be performing another Maui vow renewal for a couple from the mainland. We really enjoy doing renewals because it helps the couple to really consider how much they love each other, and why they came together in the first place.

I can think of any greater place to do a vow renewal than in Maui, Hawaii. The beaches are so beautiful. They are probably the best beaches in all of Hawaii. And the sunsets we see on the south side of Maui are consistently awesome. You can look at some of the beaches we use on a regular basis here at South Maui Beaches.

If you are thinking about having a vow renewal service when you come to Hawaii on vacation you should really think about having it in beautiful South Maui. And we would love to help you with that service. You can call us toll free at 800-791-2299.
