Having A Sunrise Vow Renewal Ceremony

I think that a sunrise vow renewal ceremony can be an exciting time for any couple who arrives in Hawaii. Being on the beach at sunrise or shortly afterward and renewing your love and commitment to each other can be a romantic and intimate time for most couples.

One nice thing about a sunrise service is that there will likely be less people on the beach. But also, if you let your Maui Vow Renewal company select their most private beach for you, the chances that you won't see too many other people will be enhanced. Another website that I like is Affordable Maui Weddings which also has Affordable Maui Vow Renewals on their site.

Take a look at some of the Maui beach vow renewal sites that they use so you can get a great idea what your sunrise (or sunset) vow renewal might look like.

Vow Renewal Happiness in Hawaii

A vow renewal can be such a happy experience. But there are certainly pitfalls that you better be aware of.

On more than one occasion I arrived to do a vow renewal and discovered that the couple were having marital problems. In the cases I remember, the husband had paid for a vow renewal and the wife refused to participate because she was upset with him. Don't let this happen to you! That man paid for something he didn't receive and ended up worse off than had he not done it at all.

Obviously, relationships cannot be saved or improved simply by planning an event. It is far better to work on your relationship ahead of time to make certain that you are moving towards closer connections before you schedule something like a vow renewal. But as you move your relationship in the right direction, a vow renewal can certainly be a great experience for a happy couple.

I think the most important thing any couple wants to do to improve their relationship is to listen to each other. When you listen, you find out what your spouse really wants and is really interested in. Then as you give to your spouse what it is that they deeply want, it can't help but make them feel all the more endeared to you.

Believe me, I have seen many tearful brides at vow renewals that I have performed over the years because the husband had learned to be sensitive to his wife's needs by listening to her and making her happy.

Probably few things are as exciting a having a vow renewal in Hawaii. Let me recommend to you a company that will likely give you want you want in the way of a value-filled renewal on Maui. Check out the Maui Vow Renewal website. You might also like to take a look at their vow renewal packages page. And they also have a page where they show you what Maui beaches they use the most for their services, which is worth seeing.

Ways For Couples to Celebrate Their Anniversary

I suppose there are hundreds of ways of celebrating your anniversary. But let me just make a few suggestions here to give you some ideas.

Think about how you can surprise your spouse, as to what would be a pleasant experience. Most obvious is going out to dinner unexpectedly, but there are so many other ways to surprise. What about leaving a gift on a pillow (or under the pillow). What about hiding several gifts in the house and/or bedroom and giving her a "treasure map" which she must follow to find her gifts? You could even create a riddle puzzle which must be solved in order for her to get to where her surprises are planted.

Give your spouse a card for each day that you've been married. You can commemorate each year of your marriage with each card, making remarks back at what happened in each year. You can also have a little present upon the giving of each card. These can be anything from sweet like a chocolate bar to a piece of jewelry, and so on. The idea is to make it fun and have your spouse looking forward to each day's card and gift. I did this myself one year to a response from my wife. It was well worth all of my effort.

One of the most exiting things you can do for your anniversary is to give your spouse a fun filled vacation to a tropical destination like Maui Hawaii. And part of that surprise could be a romantic vow renewal on a Maui beach where you have a minister and a photographer greet you for your special day.

If you decide to do the later, you will want to choose a company for your special ceremony. Let me recommend Affordable Maui Weddings which also does vow renewals. Another website, which is similar is Maui Vow Renewals which will give you the same service.

How Much Should A Maui Vow Renewal Cost?

Of course a Maui vow renewal can be expensive or cheap depending on what you want to pay. But it is possible to have a nice vow renewal at an affordable cost if you just go to the right company.

Let me recommend to websites for you to check out. First is Maui Vow Renewal which has excellent prices and gives great service. Definitely a site worth looking at.

Second, I would recommend that you take a look at Affordable Maui Wedding Vow Renewals. This company does weddings of course and great vow renewals at the most effective prices I've seen. Take a look at what they have to offer.

I think a full service vow renewal on Maui doesn't have to cost more than $497. And if you want less than the 30 photos in the featured package from Affordable Maui Weddings, you can get 15 images even cheaper.

One nice thing about a vow renewal is that you won't have to pay for a wedding license and so that's an expense that won't hit you. But if you just want a ceremony on the beach and nothing else (no flowers, no photography, no souvenir certificate) you can probably get your renewal for about $147. That's pretty darn cheap!

The Cost of A Great Anniversary Dinner in Maui

What is the cost of a great anniversary dinner in Maui? Of course that varies depending upon your budget, your tastes, and the restaurant you choose to go to. If just the two of you are going to a restaurant I think you can count on spending on up to $200. But you can certainly spend less.

There are a lot of great restaurants on Maui including Mama's Fish House on the North Shore. Personally, I've never eaten there but I've talked with many who have and who raved about the restaurant. Many consider it to be the best place to eat on Maui.

One thing that you might want to consider if you go to Mama's for your anniversary dinner is that they have this really nice beach right in front of the restaurant. I've performed many vow renewals on this little strip of sand and rocks in the Paia/Haiku area. It really is a perfect place for a romantic vow renewal with photography and a nice ceremony, and then dinner at Mama's afterwards.

One thing to keep in mind if you do this is to tell Mama's what you're planning. While the palm tree area opposite the public beach looks like part of that area, that part of the property belongs to the restaurant. I've had them chase me off of it if I'm doing photography with one of my couples, so its nice to let Mama's know what you've be doing and that you are eating their afterwards so that they will be supportive.

Also, keep in mind that Mama's is one of the most popular restaurants on Maui so you simply MUST get your reservations in advance our you may end up disappointed.

Check out the great vow renewal packages on the Maui Vow Renewal website. If you want to book a vow renewal to go along with your dinner at Mama's call Susan at 800-791-2299.

Getting Romantic For Your Anniversary

There are of course many ways to get romantic on your anniversary.

You might also think about taking her shopping for something romantic. I say "take her" because most men don't really enjoy shopping for clothes much, to accompany your wife out to look at clothes can be a real treat for her.

Now if you are trying to please your husband taking him out for clothes shopping probably won't do. But you could go with him to help him shop for something that he's been longing to have. If you don't know what he wants, just ask him and then offer to go together on an outing to shop.

Take your spouse out to a fine restaurant (especially their favorite). A nice dinner after your shopping would also seem more romantic.

Take them on a short holiday to a special location. Someplace like Hawaii is really awesome if you can afford it. If you do decide to go to Hawaii, I would recommend choosing Maui as it is probably the most romantic island in the world. It also is a great place to have a vow renewal.

Let me recommend to you Maui Vow Renewal which is a website that I put together for a company that I started years ago. They still have the best in Maui vow renewal packages. And they also have great ideas for the many different renewal and wedding services that you might want to experience. Check out their website and give Susan (their coordinator) a call. She can be reached at 800-791-2299.

Special Ideas for a Great Vow Renewal

You want to give your spouse a great vow renewal. Here are some ideas that you might want to use.

First, make it a surprise. You do this simply by doing all of the planning ahead of time on your own. Some couples share all of their financial information and if your spouse sees the credit card charges they might become aware that something is going on. I've even known of spouses who had a mother or mother-in-law do their charges for them to keep the surprise.

Second, go someplace really special. If you do your vow renewal on a tropical vacation to someplace like Hawaii it will obviously have much more impact. But if the special place is just to a fantastic local restaurant which has a garden for the service, that would also work.

Third, get her to dress up without knowing why. Some spouses will tell their mate that they want to wear their newest dress out to the mall (or somewhere similar) and say "would you please dress up for me so I can wear my new dress?" Just make the reason for dressing up different for the actual renewal surprise.

Fourth, shape the evening. You want to plan what is going to happen like you are on a schedule because it will be important for the two of you to arrive on time for your special ceremony.

Fifth, get some wedding professionals to help you. A good wedding professional will also do vow renewals (as everything is the same except you won't be having a "legal" ceremony). If you're going to Hawaii I would recommend you contact Susan Craft who has booked hundreds of vow renewals on Maui. Check out her Maui Vow Renewal website here.

Sixth, hire a minister to do a romantic ceremony for the two of you. You want to get a personable minister who will give you a romantic ceremony. I think David Webster (and also his wife Shari) on Maui offer some great ceremonies. Here's one of his ceremonies on their website.

Seventh, invite some family members to arrive separately. If they show up right about the time the action begins to take place, it will be a special surprise and very impactful on your spouse.

Eighth, hire a photographer (and/or videographer) to record the moment. This makes everything so much more exciting and it also gives you both great memories to look back upon. Let me recommend on Maui a great wedding and vow renewal photographer.

Maui Ala Carte Vow Renewals

If you want to have a Maui vow renewal with ala carte pricing (instead of selecting a package) I would recommend that you go to the link here to see what's available. Some people just like the idea of selecting exactly what they want by choosing each service that a company has to offer that that's a why to do it.

This same Maui Vow Renewal company of course does offer renewal packages. So if you want to see what you get in their packages and compare it to the ala carte pricing you can go to that page. Now if you want to compare the packages with each other, you might want to go to this page where you can get a vow renewal package comparison spreadsheet.
